Where is Bayu Lestari Island Resort?
Bayu Lestari Island Resort is located in Pulau Besar, an island that lies 16km from the town of Mersing, Johor and is part of the Sultan Iskandar Marine Park off the east coast of Malaysia.
How to get to Bayu Lestari Island Resort?
Bayu Lestari Island Resort is accessible by a 30 minutes speedboat ride from Mersing, Johor.
When is the check-in and check-out time?
The check-in time is at 12:00 PM and check-out time is by 10:30 AM.
What is the boat schedule and how do I book my boat time?
Boat times applicable to your check-in and check-out dates will be sent to you by our Reservations team. We will revert with your scheduled speedboat departure time upon confirmation of your booking.
How much do you charge for the boat transfers?
For scheduled boats, the charge is RM100 return per adult and RM90 return per child (4-12).
If I drive to Mersing, how do I park my car?
Secured car parking facilities are available at the jetty.
When is the best time to visit Bayu Lestari Island Resort?
The best time to visit Bayu Lestari Island Resort will be in March until October.
Is it advantageous for us to book early?
Yes, it would as most of the time we are always fully booked. In order not to get disappointed please make your booking as early as possible. Might as well don’t miss a chance to enjoy our early bird promotion.
Does the package rates include island-hopping activity?
Package rates does not include island hopping. However, you can make arrangements with us once you are here.
Does the resort offer packages for island-hopping activities?
Your vacation at Bayu Lestari isn’t complete without any island hopping activity. We do offer island hopping to 3 or 5 islands that will bring you to some of the best locations in Sultan Iskandar Marine Park. This is subject to weather condition and trip availability.
Is there an ATM on the island and does it accept most cards?
There is no ATM on the island so please make sure you bring enough cash. You can always make a card payment at the resort for all your charges the end of your stay in one convenient bill (will additional 2.5% merchant charges applies).
Which is the preferred method to guarantee our reservation, by Credit Card or Cash Deposit?
If you are from overseas, we would prefer Credit Card or PayPal to make your reservation and confirmation process easier and faster.
What food options do you offer at the cafe?
We offer only full board meals with pricing of RM162 per adult and RM97.20 per child for each night of your stay catering to mainly authentic Malay cuisines. Be sure to add on meals when making reservations with us as there’s no place of eateries elsewhere on the island considering the island is a private island with only resorts operating on it. Feel free to contact us for more details on our meals plan.
What will be served if I have special dietary such as gluten-free or vegetarian?
Please advise us in advance (during booking) so that we can key in remarks for special dietary and inform F&B department. Our chef will help to prepare different meal for you if full board menu ingredients are not suitable according to your dietary restriction.
What are the room amenities that you did not provide in your accommodation?
As the resort run 24 hours on generator machine to supply electricity, we did not provide television set and mini fridge in our room. But if you require kettle, hair dryer and clothing iron, you may request from our friendly front desk staffs.
What is your resort's booking policy and what is the penalty if we defaulted?
Deposit of 30% is required during booking to secure reservation. Our resort does not accede to refunds in full or in part for any cancellation. Only change of booking date with no time limitation is allowed subject to room availability.
